Yukari started studying taiko in 1999 with Art Lee and later grandmaster Daihachi Oguchi, the father of modern taiko drumming. Yukari is particulary renowned for her powerfull and dynamic style of performing taiko.  

 

Besides being a deputy leader of Haruka International which represents several taiko groups, she is also a key-member of Wadaiko Tokara.
